Spring Break.

Who needs Florida when we have 70+ degree weather in Indianapolis?!? What a great week we had! David and Caroline were home for the week. We really didn't have anything spectacular planned, although we did make our traditional "list" of things to do.

Our list included:
Jammie day
Buddy trips (one-on-one time!)
Children's Museum
Mixed sleepover (Daddy & girls, Mama & Jonathan)
Snuggling
Playing together
Eating out -- my FAVORITE!!!
Playing outside

I had worked hard to save all our points at MyPoints this winter and spring to get a couple of gift cards for us to go out to eat. Since we weren't travelling, our deal is that I get the week "off" from cooking dinner. All in all, I think we spent less than $50 for all of us to eat out for the entire week! We went to Moe's (LOVE that place!), Applebee's, TGI Friday's, Incredible Pizza, Little Caesar's and McDonalds. We also had free kids meal deals at almost all the restaurants as well. It was nice to be able to go out with our kiddos and enjoy our time together.

Monday, we had our jammie day. Elizabeth and I ran some errands together. She is such a fun little girl. Cracks me up the majority of the time!! I love her joyful spirit and love of life. She decided that she had to wear a bunny hat during our trip. We got several comments through out the morning. She also felt the need to be a bunny and hop whenever possible. She is also in a stage where she jumps when talking to you.

We met up with Grammy and Papa for dinner and fun at Incredible Pizza Company. It was a celebration for Caroline's great report card. We played mini-golf, played games, ate some pizza, rode some kiddie rides and got a few prizes.

Wednesday we headed to the Children's Museum. I figured that since the weather was so nice, everyone would be heading to the zoo. We had a great time and the crowds were not to bad. We rode the slide several times, along with the carousel, before it got busy.
Elizabeth showing off her jumping skills. The rope is just an accessory.
Jonathan felt big walking around on these shoes!
Matthew fell head first and got a bloody lip (after this picture was taken!) Mouth injuries always seem to look so much worse than they really are! Here, he was having fun playing in the water at ScienceWorks.

Thursday we had an Easter playdate with friends. We had an Egg Hunt, decorated cookies, played and enjoyed being with our friends!

Besties showing off thier treasures!

The whole gang!! I think there were 15 kids from 5 families!

We opted to not attend a Good Friday service as our church was having a Saturday evening service this year that David was playing for and I was teaching. We also went to church on Easter before heading to David's parents for a fun-filled, family afternoon. The kiddos had fun with their Easter baskets and worked well as a team for us to get to church by 9am. David was playing again for the services so he had to be there before us. I was so proud of the kiddos! We had such a beautiful day when we were able to enjoy the swings at the grandparents, an egg hunt and a marshmallow fight! A separate post will follow about Easter.

I am so sad to see our week come to an end. As I reflect on our family, I see that we are so blessed. We are working so hard to build our house of love, teaching and training our kiddos Godly principles, making sacrifices of worldly possessions but gaining so much more in relationships between our family members. Having four small kids is a lot of work, but as each stage passes, it gets a little easier, yet harder too! We are so rich....and someday, we may have money!
