Leaves!

One of the greatest things about fall at our house is the beautiful colors the changing sweet gum tree leaves. They also don't curl up, so our backyard becomes this beautiful carpet of colorful leaves.

The kiddos, of course, love to rake the leaves and jump or slide into them! My boy Matthew had a blast sliding into the leaves!

Elizbeth was very brave this year and was sliding forwards, backwards, face-first and on top of Matthew into the leaves!

Matthew let me bury him in the pile of leaves! He thought it was fun until he got some of the leaves in his mouth...

If it weren't for her light complexion, her hair blending in with the color of the leaves, we'd not be able to see Elizabeth in this pile of leaves! She's such a beautiful little girl!

We are thankful for such wonderful weather this fall. We've been taking advantage of the cooler weather and getting in as much time as possible outside. I'm in denial about the arrival of colder, winter weather just around the corner...
