By the time we were getting early evening phone calls of school being cancelled the next day, we were getting very stir crazy!! One of our favorite places to go on cold (and warm) days is the Children's Museum. As it turned out, a new exhibit would be having the member preview day so we called everyone we knew that had memberships to join us.
I knew this exhibit would be a hit with my younger two kids and was pleasantly surprised when the older two were entertained as well.

Matthew with Diego and baby Jaguar.

Elizabeth wore her Dora vest for the occasion and posed with Dora and Boots.

Getting in a little sliding....

and preparing to launch off to the Purple Planet.

Our little bookworm.
And if you notice her sitting in the "w" position -- we know! She says she's 'comfortable' that way... we still tell her to fix her feet!
Elizabeth with her friend Grant driving Tico's yellow car.

Crazy faces as we were getting ready to go into 'Space camp'.
They all thought Space Camp was pretty cool!
Jonathan our 'Sun'.

Ahoy, matey!!

Elizabeth with the Map, with the Map, with the Map, with the Map -- with the MAP!! If you watch the show, you'll understand why that was repeated so. many. times.
Elizabeth has a current love of horses! She was elated to ride on White White! We enjoyed our time with friends and time out of the house!!
Here's another horse story for your enjoyment (and for my memory!)
One night after reading our Bible story and talking with the kids about it, David asked if anyone had a question. Elizabeth leaned forward and with all the seriousness of a 3 year old said, 'Um, Daddy, I just love horses!!!' We laughed and laughed.
So funny that you preempted comments about the w-sitting. The PT in me is cringing right now... but she can always make an appointment with her friendly neighborhood physical therapist for her knee and hip pain in 30 years. :)
ReplyDeleteAmy -- I'll have you know -- that comment was put in there just for you as I knew you'd comment :)
