Hats!

We've had some crazy weather here lately!! It hasn't fazed the kiddos too much being couped up indoors. We have bundled up several times to enjoy the frozen tundra that has reared it's ugly head, but for the most part, we have fun inside where it's a bit warmer. We had a freezing rain storm that caused school to be closed for 4 days!

Since we were really couped up for some of those days, we did find fun in dressing up. Below is Woody, I mean, Matthew riding his trusty couch arm! Giddy up!!
Not far behind on her faithful steed, Bullseye, is Woody's best gal pal Jessie, commonly known at our house as Elizabeth. Yeeeeeeeee-Haaaawwww!
I think this was around the time that we figured out that Jonathan was not 100% -- turned out that he had pneumonia!! Or maybe he was really sad about the Colts not being in the Super Bowl this year!
Caroline had a project at school to find a new word, learn the definition and use it in a sentence. They also were given hats to decorate and then paraded them around the school. Her word came from an American Girl book we'd been reading set in 1976. David remembered a few things from the Bicentennial celebration, but as I was 3, I don't have any memories. She was very proud of her hat!
