The weather forcast finally was correct. We received nearly a foot of snow! The kids were all in amazement when they looked out and saw a winter wonderland in our backyard. A fresh snowfall is my favorite. I love to look at the sparkling snow as the sun reflects off it, the snow on the branches of the evergreen trees, the quietness of a blanket of snow covering everything.
We took out a yardstick to measure just how much snow we received.
Caroline wanted to be the"snowplow" that cleaned off the slide. She ended up in one big pile of snow!
Jonathan would run across the yard and then fall down, not necessarily on purpose! His favorite part is eating snow.

Elizabeth had trouble manuvering in the high amounts of snow with her restrictive snowsuit. She did enjoy several trips down the slide and riding on the glider. She'd not been big enough to ride the glider back in the fall and I figured if she did fall off, she'd have a soft landing!

School was cancelled for two days and we've been happy to be at home with no where that we had to go. We had some friends come over yesterday to play with out in the snow. Today, Caroline will head back to school this afternoon, but we may get another morning of playing in the snow.
