1st Grade Welcoming Ceremony

To be the star of the show is a pretty big deal when you are six. Mulitply that by nearly 100 first graders and you get one big part of their school career. Our elementary puts on a first grade welcoming ceremony for the first graders. It was very exciting!

School seems so much bigger to me now that we've gone from afternoon kindergarten with a class of 12 to full day first day with a class of 25 and a grade of nearly 100 kids. Then there are 8-9 elementary schools that feed into the 6th grade academy, middle and high school. The size is still overwhelming to me at times, but we've had a very positive experience thus far.

We were reminded at just how quickly the times passes and before we know it, little Caroline won't be so little anymore. Mr. Craig, the principal, has been at the school 20+ years and just loves the kids! In just 12 short years, she will be walking across the stage again....ready to take on the world or at least college!

She loves her teacher and has been doing great with the new skills she is learning this year.
