We dedicated Matthew at church a few weeks ago. This is the last time we will be doing this and it was just as special to us as the other times when we dedicated the other three kiddos. Matthew wore the gown that I had made from my mom's wedding dress. When I made it for Caroline, I had no idea that it would get so much use from our kiddos. I hope that it will become a heirloom to pass down to the next generations.
We chose the following verse for Matthew's life verse: The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8 
It is a huge responsibility to us as parents to raise our children according to God's Word and not according to the world's standards. We are willing to take the challenge to guide and direct their lives. It's a huge investment of our time and full of sacrifices, but we feel that we've been given these children for such a short time and desire to have them be Christ followers as several generations on both sides of our families have been. 
I couldn't agree w/ you more on raising our kiddos based on God's Word and nobody elses! What a huge blessing and responsibility all rolled up into one! :) By the way, great family pictures from the special day....you have such a beautiful family!!!!!
