Whew - it's hot out there!

We have been having some unseasonably hot weather in these parts, so if we are wanting to play outside, we need to do it early. If we wait until evening, we get attacked by mosquitos. The kiddos wanted to go to a park today and have a picnic lunch. We picked one that is mostly shaded. It was pleasant in the shade with a nice breeze, but out in the full sun, it was HOT! Due to it being so hot, we had the playground mostly to ourselves, which makes it a bit easier to keep track of my 4 busy kiddos that like to go in 4 different directions at the same time.
Caroline peeking out the slide.
Jonathan from atop the big slide. He was keeping a look out for any other playmates.
Elizabeth loved this Toucan. If only she were tall enough to get herself on without any help... She kept saying how she was riding a "fast burd".
Matthew loved the car. I have memories of Jonathan having the same affection toward this car!
We did make some new friends and have a ball. All the kiddos were rather sweaty by the end of our time there. Thankfully, I did have my 32 oz. waterbottle along to keep us hydrated. Even more thankful for a working water fountain as we had to fill it twice!!
