Elizabeth got to have a special breakfast date with Daddy on her birthday to Chick-a-fay (translation: Chick-fil-a). David has a tradition of taking work off, if possible, to be with the kiddos on their birthday. Then, I headed to school for lunch and time with Caroline in her class. David brought Jonathan to school and took the little two to the pe-sto (translation: Pet store). Poor Mr. Matthew was struggling with Elizabeth having a special day. It's rough being the youngest and being 2! Then we re-grouped and had the family over to celebrate the birthday girl.

Happy 4th Birthday Elizabeth Anne!
We had no idea 4 years ago on a sunny Saturday when we had a scary situation, just how much fun would come out of that sweet bundle of joy we welcomed into our family. I'm so thankful everytime I look at Elizabeth for the gift of life and especially thankful that we are both still here! After a rough start, we've really been enjoying this little girl!! How quickly these past 4 years have gone!!

Elizabeth has become a fashionista that is rarely seen out and about without her pink cowgirl boots! Now, I not only get comments about her hair color, but also about her pink boots! It's all good...
This girl has such a zest for life. Her imagination has developed greatly over the past year. She can often be found pretending with her horses, dressed up as Sleeping Beauty or enjoying time playing with her siblings.
I took the girls to see the movie 'Tangled' over Spring Break. It has been another fun source of pretend play for the kiddos. Elizabeth, of course, is Rapunzel. We love to hear her giggle when she talks about it. She was opening a giant Tangled coloring book in the above picture.
The official-rocking-chair-I-am-4 picture! Someday, when I get around to it, I'll do a scrapbook page -- probably for their graduation -- with them sitting in the rocking chair every year on their birthday.
Opening presents -- let's just say, this girl is not needing (or wanting) any clothes! Because she had an older sister, who thankfully loved pink and dresses, she has a very full closet!
The girl does love pink, but with her fair coloring, she looks so good in blues and greens....and yellow :)
Elizabeth is now ready to perform any major medical check-up services on you if you are a visitor (or permanent member) of our house. She is definitely a mercy-gifted gal, so a medical profession may very well be in her future!
The princess with her castle cake. Thanks Shelly Massey for the idea -- I "borrowed" your idea from Katie's party!
