First Grade Welcoming

Our school has a traditional program to welcome the First Grade students and family to the Douglas MacArthur family. They do this in first grade since Kindergarten is not required in Indiana.

We are off to a great start this year. Jonathan is reading well and has retained most of the things he learned in Kindergarten. They have now introduced weekly spelling words and literacy groups. He continues to tell us that Math is his favorite -- yeah!! Each week, he continues to bring home books from the library on various animals. He still wants to be vetrinarian when he grows up.
