4 1/2 and 6 months

Jonathan turned 4 1/2 two days ago and Matthew turned 6 months today. Where is the time going?!? Far too quickly in my eyes!
Matthew is beginning to sit up on his own now for a few seconds at a time. He can sit longer if he doesn't get excited and topple over. He's looking so big. He weighed in today at 18 lbs. 1 oz. Now that he's eating cereal, he's really putting on the weight! In looking back, Caroline was 18lbs. 4oz, Jonathan was 16lbs. 7oz and Elizabeth was 17lbs. even at 6 months. Wow!

As a side note, we weighed the other kids today and they are all about 10 lbs. apart in size -- Matthew 18lbs., Elizabeth 28lbs., Jonathan 38lbs., and Caroline 48lbs.!

Matthew is quite interested in anything that he can get into his mouth...hands, feet, toys, etc. He's also grabby and loves to pull on hair, earrings and necklaces to name a few of his favorites. Elizabeth loves him more and more! Every morning and afternoon, she wants me to get her out of her crib first so I can put her into Matthew's crib with him. She also seems to "wait" up for him as we put her to bed first and Matthew gets a bedtime snack. As trying as it seems at times, I'm so glad that she loves him so much.
As for Jonathan, he's great! He still wants to be an astronaut. We keep telling him that he has to stop growing, but he is determined to be an astronaut. He loves being outside lately and enjoys playing by himself or with the neighbor boys. His imagination is growing leaps and bounds lately! He has recently been introduced to the original Star Wars movies and often he and Caroline will play 'Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia'.

We love our two boys and are so excited to see them growing. It's neat to see the different relationships developing between the older two/younger two, bookends/middle kids and boys/girls. We are so rich to have these four precious little ones entrusted to our care!
