Vacation!

In case you were wondering, we'd not fallen off the face of the earth, but instead had a week of vacation. We didn't go away, but "stay-cationed" instead. One would think that since we were home, I'd have boat loads of time to sit and blog....ah, not so!

Our week was filled with lots of fun and exciting things. Monday we woke to our power being out! So great to live in a neighborhood with above ground power lines! We stayed home and played outside. We had to take a walk after dinner to walk off some of the yummy food I scrounged up -- typical "summer" food. Brats, corn on the cob, watermelon, and strawberry shortcake - YUM! Tuesday we headed to a local favorite hotspot -- Rascal's Fun Zone for indoor go-karts/skee ball and then to Pizza King Station for lunch. The kids love both places. Pizza King is fun because they have a train that delivers the drinks to your table! Wednesday we went to a park to play and got 1/2 price milkshakes at Steak n' Shake on the way home. Thursday, the kiddos were at the grandparents for the day. It was a nice break to have some time for David and I to be alone together without some little person nearly constantly needing our attention. He played lots of video games and I got to scrapbook! Yeah! Especially since I'm now 2 years behind :( Friday was another day at home with a wedding in the evening.
