Caroline's 6 today!

Caroline's 6 today,
Caroline's 6 today!
We all clap our hands because
Caroline's 6 today!

Caroline has been SO excited for her birthday and turning 6 years old. Our day started out with them making "beds" in the living room.
Doughnuts were requested for breakfast, so we loaded up in the van in our jammies and headed to the local Krispy Kreme - mmm! We didn't grace the KK folks with our jammies and bed head, but just did the drive thru.

Caroline's friend from BSF and school came over while her mom went to sharing day for BSF. The kids played outside and had fun. Katie is the youngest of 4 kids, so she loves to come and hold the babies at our house.
We took in cupcakes for her class at school. She's been so excited to be able to celebrate her birthday at school. They get a crown and a trip to the principal's office! Mr. Craig gave her a ribbon and sang 'Happy Birthday' to her. One of her other class friends, Richi, has a birthday 2 days after her. She was excited to be older than him.
She chose Logan's Roadhouse for her special dinner out. The reason: they have macaroni and cheese. We had them do the birthday thing -- they don't sing, but yell and say 'YEE HAW'. She thought it was fun! And she got a little cheesecake dessert.
Matthew was having fun at the restaurant with Daddy doing pattycake!
Of course, we had to do our traditional rocking chair picture. I can't believe how tall she's gotten this year.
She opened presents and was so excited!
She has requested a pool party theme this year for her party with family. A few years ago, she got a Polly Pocket pool and has loved playing with it. Unfortunately, it got a hole in it, but I was able to get a replacement (on clearance and it's an upgraded newer model!) She has been asking for a Barbie. Not only did she get her first Barbie, but it's from the Barbie and the Diamond Castle series. Her name is Pricess Liana. I didn't even realize her name at the time I got her, but Caroline has a cousin Liana that she adores! That made this Barbie even more special!

Caroline has just recently been talking about taking a dance class. I'm not sure she'll do well with it, especially because she inherited all her grace from me! We're going to try to find a class for this summer.
We have big plans for this summer...teaching the older two kids to ride bikes without training wheels. That means having the proper equipment.... Caroline was more excited about the pads than her new bike!
And since Elizabeth has to do what ever she sees her big sister doing....
So that was our day! Happy Birthday Sweet Caroline! You've had a great year being 5. You started school, rode the bus home every day, made new friends, learned to write in D'Nealian, began reading and have grown physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally this year. We are looking forward to summer and having fun together.
