We had a great weekend filled with both sides of our extended family. We went to my birthplace to see my dad, along with aunts, uncles and cousins that we hadn't seen in 4 years. It was great! The kids did great and had lots of fun! 
The kids were good travellers (thanks to a portable DVD player!) and we had a good trip. We made sure they were all snuggled into their car seats for maximum comfort and minimal stops.
Elizabeth made friends with cousin Cheri. They were having fun just walking to touch the big rock. 
Aunt Audrey graciously hosted us and enjoyed the kids!
I never used to think that I favored my dad's side of the family until I got to looking at Aunt Audrey.From looking at me with Aunt Audrey and Aunt Rosemary, it would appear that I look more like them than I'd thought...
After seeing my side of the family, we had a wedding for a cousin of David's. We've seen this side of the family several times in the last few months due to another wedding and bridal showers. This wedding was outside. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and was glorious! The younger two didn't want to sit during the wedding, but it worked out for David and I to hang out in the back while still able to hear the wedding.
Elizabeth was being true to form....if there is a party going on, she's right in the middle of it!

What is it with redheads? Jesse has about the same hair color as Elizabeth and seems to have a similar personality as well. Definitely the life of the party...but does she also try to take you down with her when she's having a bad day?
ReplyDeleteI don't know that we've experienced a bad day. Maybe a bad moment here and there. We said recently that we'd like to know what color the glasses are in her world because it's always pretty rosy! I don't know that she realizes just how funny she is, but we laugh at her and with her often!
