The Tale of the Lost Tooth

By Caroline Cribbs

Once upon a time there was a cute, little girl named Caroline. She had a loose tooth. She'd been eating apples and wiggling it for some time, but to no avail....that tooth just didn't want to come loose.
By way of an accident with her brother's head, her tooth was knocked much looser than it had ever been. She tried to have it pulled by her Mama, but that wasn't working too well. It just was not quite ready to come out.
She wiggled it. She waggled it. That little tooth was holding strong! Caroline thought that she might just be eating and her tooth would fall out. Her mama was afraid that she'd be wiggling it during the night and swallow it, so she asked one more time if she could try to pull it out. Caroline the brave was ready this time. She mustered up all the courage her little 6 year old body could and with just a quick little pull, that tooth finally came out!! She laughed, she giggled, she looked at that gaping hole in the top row of her teeth! She was so excited! So were we...
And the tooth fairy came the first night she put her tooth in the tooth pillow....that tooth fairy likes to change it up and keeps us guessing when she will visit!
