Caroline was SO EXCITED this morning. She was out of bed, dressed, ate breakfast, had her hair fixed and was ready to head out the door all in about 5 mintues! The bus could not come fast enough for her, nor slow enough for me! We are so excited for her and all that she will be learning this year in first grade.
When I asked her what she was looking forward to the most today, her answers were "eating lunch at school and having 2 recesses!"
She was excited that one of our backyard neighbors was going to be in her class this year and to ride the bus with her "bus friend". She looked so cute this morning and so grown up!
We had packed her backpack the end of last week. Everytime someone came over, she would ask if they wanted to see what was in her backpack. We put her lunch together last night and I made sure to stick in a little note this morning. Once she had her backpack on, it looked nearly bigger than her!
Our school has gone to uniforms this year. Personally, this is exciting for me! I wore uniforms when I was overseas for a year and loved it. The kids looked so cute this morning at the bus stop. Caroline had a "fan club" watching her from the porch. She was so cute as she went around and gave her siblings hugs and kisses before she left. I think they will miss her more than she misses them....I'm planning special "outings" for us to keep our minds off of missing Caroline.
:( It makes me sad to see them all grow up so fast! I love the uniform!! I wore uniforms in 1-3rd grade and loved it. No pressure to decide what to wear! I've been meaning to email ya!
