Nine Months!

Just in case you were thinking that I meant nine months until another baby -- THINK AGAIN!! No, we are not having another child, but our baby is nine months old today! Sweet Matthew is such a good baby. He weighed in at 21 lbs. 1 oz. and was 30 inches long. Needless to say, he's tending to follow my side of the family and will likely be a big guy like my brothers!

Recently, Matthew has decided to be a little more snuggly, which is a welcome change. He's normally trying to wiggle himself off of our laps or out of our arms to get to where he can move to keep up with his siblings! He's also always trying to find any little pieces of Legos or Polly Pockets that may be laying around to munch on. There have been many "rescues" recently of toys headed toward digestion -- or indigestion -- whichever the case may be!

Matthew continues to bring us lots of smiles and laughs with his wonderful smiles. He's started talking more with lots of ba-ba-bas and even some ma-ma-mas. David thinks he's said da-da-da, but I've yet to hear it! One of these kids has to say "mama" first!

He has taken a definite stance on baby food. He prefers to feed himself, thank you very much! Most days he's consuming lots and lots of Cheerios along with other small bits of meat, fruits and veggies.

For reference, I've included a picture of Jonathan when he was about 9 months old. Do you see any resemblance?? Handsome little guys, aren't they?!?
