Rock Stars @ Children's Museum

This is what the sky looked like as we headed downtown this morning. It was a bit creepy and eerie. Not only were the kids freaked out, but I was too! We prayed and thankfully, all we encountered was a little bit of rain.
It was amazing how quickly the wind picked up. The dark, ominous clouds passed rather quickly -- for which I was very thankful!
Our outing of the day was to the Children's Museum. We originally were going to go with several friends, but since they started homeschool yesterday, having a field trip on day 2 was probably not a good idea. I still went with the kids as it's probably my last opportunity to take all 4 for a while. David is still on vacation, but he got a day off today to do whatever he wanted. Yep, I'm a good wife :)
We started at the carousel. Matthew loves to ride and does a very nice job of holding on tightly.
Elizabeth loves the jumpers! She is displaying the full extent of the Cribbs' genes in this picture. Seriously, could she look anymore like her grandfather?!
We headed to the Rock Stars exhibit. It's the most recent one that we'd not visited yet. The kids loved it, but I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps it shows my age, but it was way too loud. I felt I was screaming just trying to talk to my kids! This was a fun motorcycle for the kiddos.
The wall of guitars.
My flower child. If there were any pictures of me when I was little, I'd have to say this one of Caroline remindes me of me.
Elizabeth doing her own version of the "YMCA". And just incase you are wondering, she is wearing a poodle skirt costume. Appropriate.
Jonathan was funny in this area. He preferred to sit and be a spectator, but would randomly get up and throw down a few dance moves. Here, the music playing was YMCA, but he's doing an 'X'.
The highlight of Jonathan's day was getting to play the guitar on "Rock Band". They had a room your group could go into to play. We selected 'Walking on Sunshine' by Katrina and the Waves. I wasn't sure if our kids had ever even heard that song, but it was the safest of the choices available. They loved it!!

Caroline kept saying she didn't want to play Rock Band, but once we got into the room, she became the drummer....and LOVED it! They preferred kids to be 6+ so Matthew got to play the blow up guitar.

After we left this exhibit, we had lunch. Even the lunch room seemed overly loud to me. Perhaps the weather caused for the museum to be busier than I prefer and also louder in all areas! The kids wanted to go to the Barbie exhibit after lunch, but I didn't take any pictures there as we've visited there several times in the past. Another fun day, regardless of the volume!
