Valentine's Party - Friends

We had a Valentine's party last weekend with our playdate/MOPS friends. This is a special group of my friends. Between the six of us, we have 19 kids!! WOW!! Some of us have been friends since we were in the singles group at church together! We all married within a couple years of each other and our oldest children are 5-6 years old now. God has blessed me with this special group of gals. Four of us used to be on the MOPS steering team together and four of us still try to get together weekly for playdates, which has become quite challenging now that we've got school to contend with. Three of us are in public school and three are homeschooling. All of us have God in the center of our lives and marriages. They are a great support system for these busy years when our kiddos are little.

The kids got to decorate their treat bags. Notice that it's mostly the girls who are doing their bags....the boys were more interested in playing rather than a craft!

After they were done decorating their bags, we had a snack.

They played a couple of games, but I didn't get pictures as I was feeding Matthew at that time. The "I Love You" game was fun! One child was blindfolded and then another child said "I Love You" in a funny voice. The blindfolded child then had to guess who spoke. It was funny to hear them use funny voices!

No party is complete without a group picture. (If you're wondering why there are not 19 kids in the picture, it's because some of the younger ones stayed at home with their daddies to take naps and make the party more enjoyable for the older kids -- and moms!) This was their "funny face" picture.
