Elizabeth is 2!!

Two years ago was a monumental day in our family. When the day began, we'd expected to have a new baby by the late afternoon. As it turned out, she came out pretty quickly by emergency c-section! Thanks to the quick thinking and wisdom of my doctor to save both of our lives.

With a million dollar smile like that, how can you not resist to just love on this gal! Who knew that this little red-haired girl would bring so much joy to our family?? She is one funny little girl! Recently, she has had a giant leap in her vocabulary and it's great to hear her try to say new words. Some of our current favorites are Jibbies (most other people would say 'Jammies') and Matno (translated: Matthew).

She received some new books today and was pretty excited about "abby dabby". She's gonna be really excited when she sees her Abby Cadabby cake on Friday!

Yes, her eyelashes are that long!

Unfortuantely, Elizabeth was still feeling a bit under the weather today with a slight fever, cough and runny nose. Daddy was home today and made the most of his time with her. The two of them went out for lunch. We all went out to celebrate her birthday tonight and came home for ice cream. We are so thankful for Elizabeth and so glad that she came to live at our house!
