After a couple of crazy busy weeks, we were able to slow down and relax a little this past weekend and this week. We've had BEAUTIFUL weather as well. We spent a majority of the weekend in the backyard. With the spring forceful winds, many of the gumballs were blown off the tree. Being as we are trying to do our part in being "green", rather than buying mulch this year, we are using the gumballs as mulch around the trees. It will also help to keep kids out of the areas around the trees where I've got plants and flowers growing since the gumballs are not too friendly on the feet!
We are nearing the end of school and BSF. Can I just say that I'm terribly excited!! Kindergarten has been a great experience, but the ordeal of getting out
every day to take Caroline to school is really old now! Friday night is Family Fun Night at school and we are looking forward to that. I'm sure there is some sort of awards program too....I'll have to check if there is a Kindergarten graduation.
So, just to give a quick update on each kiddo --- here they are just being kids. Jonathan is so much like his Daddy.... FYI - David wears these headphones while he is mowing the grass. He wants to be able to hear me when we are old without the use of hearing aids!

Our kids have become Star Wars fanatics. We've recently introduced them to the original Star Wars movie. They want to be Star Wars characters for Halloween (we'll have to see about that...) Here is Caroline doing her Princess Leia impression (her hands are supposed to be making the bun hairdo):

Then there is our ever-funny, wild-child, now-I'm-2 crazy girl Elizabeth. She's recovering well from the pneumonia. For the most part, it was hard to tell she was sick. She does get excited when it's time to get her "medsin"!

Sweet Matthew has discovered his tongue recently. He loves to just stick the tip out between his lips. It makes him look like he's really concentrating! He is a rolling machine and is "talking" alot lately. If he'd just get the hang of eating cereal...really, it's more like wallpaper paste in consistency and taste, if you ask me, so it's sometimes hard to blame him for not liking it!
