Our budding politician...

While we were reading our bedtime Bible story last night, we've been learning about Moses and Pharoah. Pharoah was a leader who's heart was hardened to God. He suffered many plagues because of his hard heart.
We were talking with the kids about how we are their leaders and even when they don't always want to, they need to learn to submit to our authority. As adults, we need to submit to our bosses and governmental leaders.
I told them that even though we may not have voted for our president, we need to continue to pray for him and obey unless it is something that goes against what the Bible tells us.
David asked "What is our president's name?"
Jonathan said, "Bush George!".
"Well, that was our last president. What is our new president's name?"
Jonathan got really excited. "I know! It's Broccoli Obama!!"
I don't think he meant any disrespect, but for the next four years, I'm always going to think of him as Broccoli Obama, instead of Barack Obama!
